Done with the light hiking in Minoo, we went to Kyoto. It only takes 15 minutes to reach Kyoto from Osaka using Shinkansen (thanks to JR pass we were able to hopped the Shinkansen for many times). Since the famous Kiyomizu-dera was still under construction so we chose Fushimi Inari Taisha as our destination.
Crowds already filled the Fushimi Inari once we get there. I guess it’ll be better to get here early morning.
Before we entered the main area, we sniffed a delectable smells and it was so damn good, like…heavenly delicious (are we really hungry on that time?). Turns out they got a small alley filled with tents of street foods.
And this is the answer for the undeniably good aroma which I could not resist: BEEF BBQ! Sugoi!
Finished with the food feast, we started our journey to explore Fushimi Inari Taisha.
We were so tired that we couldn’t finish the path of thousand torii gates (our feet already on their limit after a long walk to Minoo waterfall). But we really love the ambiance of this place and we enjoyed every stairway we took which led us to a different experience everytime it came to an end.
It was a mysterious feelings all the way, yet it was hauntingly beautiful.
With all the crowds, it was hard to have a light walk with no urge to hurry. I guess the people don’t really have to rush to appreciate all the beauty lies within this place, or maybe they only got a little time? Who knows.
Time to go somewhere else, to get lost in time.
To be continued…..
